WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU THINK OF THE WORD JOY?

What‌ ‌comes‌ ‌to‌ ‌my‌ ‌mind‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌Joy‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Lord‌ ‌is‌ ‌my‌ ‌strength‌ ‌and‌ ‌I‌ ‌can‌ ‌face‌ ‌tomorrow‌ ‌keeping‌ ‌Him‌ ‌first.‌ ‌I‌ ‌‌can‌ ‌trust‌ ‌what‌ ‌God‌ ‌is‌ ‌doing‌ ‌in‌ ‌my‌ ‌life‌  ‌with‌ ‌JOY.‌ ‌

WHAT‌ ‌DOES‌ ‌IT‌ ‌MEAN‌ ‌TO‌ ‌BE‌ ‌CONFIDENT?‌ ‌

Confidence‌ ‌to‌ ‌me‌ ‌means‌ ‌believing‌‌ ‌in‌ ‌yourself,‌ ‌feeling‌ ‌comfortable‌ ‌in‌ ‌your‌ ‌true-self,‌ ‌knowing‌ ‌you‌ have‌ ‌worth‌ ‌when‌ ‌no‌ ‌one‌ ‌is‌ ‌looking.‌  ‌Confidence‌‌ ‌is‌ ‌attractive,‌ ‌brings‌ ‌success,‌ ‌helps‌ ‌to‌ ‌connect‌ ‌well‌ ‌with‌ ‌others‌ ‌and‌ ‌be‌ ‌true‌ ‌to‌ ‌you‌ ‌and‌ ‌build‌ ‌others‌ ‌up.‌

‌I‌ ‌learned‌ ‌to‌ ‌build‌ ‌up‌ ‌my‌ ‌confidence‌ ‌in‌ ‌God‌ ‌first.‌  ‌And‌ ‌to‌ ‌do‌ ‌that‌ ‌I‌ ‌had‌ ‌to‌ ‌have‌ ‌a‌ ‌relationship‌ ‌with‌ ‌him‌ ‌and‌ ‌get‌ ‌to‌ ‌know‌ ‌his‌ ‌word.‌ ‌Also‌ ‌when‌ ‌I‌ ‌did‌ ‌that‌ ‌I‌ ‌learned‌ ‌to‌ ‌love‌ ‌myself.‌ ‌

CAN‌ ‌YOU‌ ‌IDENTIFY‌ ‌THE‌ ‌TIME‌ ‌IN‌ ‌YOUR‌ ‌LIFE‌ ‌ WHEN YOU‌ ‌BEGAN‌ ‌TO‌ ‌TOTALLY‌ ‌ACCEPT‌ ‌YOURSELF?‌ ‌

Absolutely‌! ‌I‌ ‌believe‌ ‌we‌ ‌all‌ ‌experience‌ ‌a‌ ‌time‌ ‌in‌ ‌our‌ ‌life‌ ‌that‌ ‌has‌ ‌changed‌ ‌us.‌ ‌Growing‌ ‌up‌ ‌meeting a‌ ‌sister‌ ‌friend‌ ‌that‌ ‌our‌ ‌relationship‌ ‌was‌ ‌inseparable‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌betrayed‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌same‌ ‌person‌ ‌that‌ ‌you‌ ‌couldn’t‌ ‌live‌ ‌without‌ ‌was‌ ‌hurtful.‌ ‌I‌ ‌was‌ ‌angry‌ and‌ ‌felt‌ ‌emotional‌ ‌insecurity‌ ‌as‌ ‌I‌ ‌would‌ question‌ ‌and‌ ‌doubt‌ ‌if‌ ‌I‌ ‌was‌ ‌even‌ ‌worthy‌ ‌of‌ ‌love‌ ‌or‌ ‌happiness.‌ ‌This‌ ‌was‌ ‌my‌ ‌reality.

However,‌ ‌I‌ realized‌ ‌there‌ ‌was‌ ‌light‌ ‌in‌ ‌my‌ ‌valley‌ ‌experience.‌ ‌God‌ ‌promised‌ ‌he‌ ‌would‌ ‌never‌ ‌leave‌ ‌nor‌ ‌forsake‌ ‌me.‌ ‌Through‌ ‌the‌ ‌betrayal‌ ‌God‌ ‌used‌ ‌it‌ ‌for‌ ‌my‌ ‌good.‌ ‌So‌ ‌when‌ ‌God‌ ‌blocks‌ ‌people,‌ ‌places‌, ‌and‌ ‌things‌ ‌from‌ ‌your‌ ‌life‌‌,‌ ‌it‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌feel‌ ‌good‌ ‌but‌ ‌it‌ ‌will‌ ‌work‌ ‌out‌ ‌for‌ ‌your‌ ‌good.‌ ‌

So‌ ‌going‌ ‌through‌ ‌rejection‌ ‌and‌ ‌pain‌ ‌I‌ ‌was‌ ‌led‌ ‌to‌ ‌seek‌ ‌comfort‌ ‌from‌ ‌a‌ ‌High‌ ‌Power,‌ ‌God.‌ ‌I‌ ‌felt‌ ‌as‌ ‌if‌ no‌ ‌one‌ ‌could‌ ‌fill‌ ‌the‌ ‌void‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌sense‌ ‌of‌ ‌loneliness‌ ‌that‌ ‌I‌ ‌was‌ ‌experiencing‌ ‌in‌ ‌that‌ ‌season‌ ‌of‌ my‌ ‌life.‌ ‌I‌ ‌couldn’t‌ ‌trust‌ ‌anyone‌ ‌or accept‌ ‌myself‌ ‌during‌ ‌this‌ ‌dark‌ ‌time‌ ‌of‌ ‌my‌ ‌life.‌ ‌

One‌ ‌day‌ ‌God‌ ‌shined‌ ‌a‌ ‌light‌ ‌on‌ ‌me‌ ‌and‌ ‌commissioned‌ ‌me‌ ‌to‌ ‌stand‌ ‌and‌ ‌move‌ ‌forward. Hearing‌ ‌from‌ ‌God‌ ‌at‌ ‌this‌ ‌difficult‌ time‌, ‌changed‌ ‌my‌ ‌life‌ ‌and‌ ‌made‌ ‌me‌ ‌love‌ ‌myself‌ ‌and‌ ‌my‌ ‌flaws.‌ ‌So‌ ‌it’s‌ ‌important‌ ‌to‌ ‌circle‌ ‌back‌ ‌to‌ ‌God’s‌ ‌love‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌fact‌ ‌that‌ ‌he‌ ‌has‌ ‌an‌ ‌amazing‌ ‌purpose‌ ‌for‌ ‌your‌ ‌life.‌ ‌I‌ ‌am‌ ‌thankful‌ ‌to‌ ‌say‌ ‌this‌ ‌journey‌ ‌I‌ ‌experienced,‌  ‌I‌ ‌am‌ ‌now‌ ‌a‌ ‌published‌ ‌author‌ ‌of‌ ‌my‌ ‌second‌ ‌book, When‌ ‌Betrayal‌ ‌Leads‌ ‌To‌ ‌Your‌ ‌Blessings.‌ ‌ ‌

WHAT‌ ‌DO‌ ‌YOU‌ ‌ADMIRE‌ ‌MOST‌ ‌ABOUT‌ ‌YOURSELF?‌ ‌

I admire my‌ ‌positive‌ ‌attitude‌ ‌and‌ ‌my‌ ‌ability‌ ‌to‌ ‌stay‌ ‌focused‌ ‌and‌ ‌be‌ ‌consistent‌ no‌ ‌matter‌ ‌the‌ ‌situation.‌ ‌I‌ ‌admire‌ ‌my‌ ‌determination‌ ‌and‌ ‌passion‌ ‌on‌ ‌things‌ ‌I‌ ‌love‌ ‌and‌ ‌believe‌ ‌in.‌ ‌‌I‌ ‌admire‌ ‌the‌ ‌love‌ ‌of‌ ‌God‌ I‌ ‌have‌ ‌for‌ ‌people‌ ‌and‌ ‌always‌ ‌want ‌to‌ ‌see‌ ‌people‌ ‌win‌ ‌in‌ ‌their‌ ‌future‌ ‌endeavors.‌  ‌Also‌, ‌I‌ ‌love‌ ‌the‌ ‌relationship‌ ‌I‌ ‌have‌ ‌with‌ ‌God‌, ‌as well as, ‌the‌ ‌strength‌ and‌ ‌love‌ ‌he‌ ‌gives‌ ‌me‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌a‌ ‌better‌ ‌person.‌ ‌

FILL‌ ‌IN‌ ‌THE‌ ‌BLANK:‌ ‌I‌ ‌AM‌…‌fearfully‌ ‌and‌ ‌wonderfully‌ ‌made‌, which  ‌means‌ ‌to‌ ‌me‌ ‌that ‌God‌ ‌created‌ ‌me‌ ‌on‌ ‌purpose‌ ‌with‌ love.‌ ‌He‌ ‌didn’t‌ ‌just‌ ‌design‌ ‌me‌ ‌to‌ ‌do‌ ‌my‌ ‌own‌ ‌thing.‌ ‌He‌ ‌created‌ ‌me‌ ‌so‌ ‌I‌ ‌would‌ ‌desire‌ ‌an‌ ‌ongoing‌ relationship‌ ‌with‌ ‌HIM.‌ ‌

HOW‌ ‌HAS‌ ‌YOUR‌ ‌FAITH‌ ‌CONTRIBUTED‌ ‌TO‌ ‌WHO‌ ‌YOU‌ ‌ARE‌ ‌TODAY?‌ ‌

My‌ ‌faith‌ ‌teaches‌ ‌me‌ ‌that‌ ‌God‌ ‌will‌ ‌never‌ ‌leave‌ ‌me‌ ‌nor‌ ‌forsake‌ ‌me.‌ ‌God‌ ‌showed‌ ‌me‌ ‌several‌ ‌times‌ ‌that people‌, places,‌ ‌and‌ ‌things, may‌ ‌change,‌ ‌but‌ ‌God‌ ‌remains‌ ‌the‌ ‌same.‌  ‌So‌ ‌my‌ ‌faith‌ ‌teaches‌ ‌me‌ ‌today‌ ‌to‌ ‌trust‌ ‌God‌ and the‌ ‌things‌ ‌I‌ ‌cannot‌ ‌see‌. Also, ‌believe‌ ‌all‌ ‌things‌ ‌are‌ ‌working‌ ‌for‌ ‌my‌ ‌good.‌ ‌ ‌

WHAT‌ ‌WOULD‌ ‌YOU‌ ‌TELL‌ ‌YOUR‌ ‌YOUNGER‌ ‌SELF‌ ‌OR‌ ‌SOMEONE‌ ‌WHO‌ ‌HAS‌ ‌YET‌ ‌TO‌ ‌DISCOVER‌  ‌HER‌ ‌WORTH‌?‌

I‌ ‌would‌‌ ‌tell‌ ‌them‌ ‌if‌ ‌you’re‌ ‌not‌ ‌happy‌ ‌with‌ ‌who‌ ‌you‌ ‌are‌ ‌today, right‌ ‌here‌‌and‌ ‌right‌ ‌now,‌ ‌you‌ ‌never‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌until‌ ‌you‌ ‌begin‌ ‌to‌ ‌praise‌ God‌ ‌for‌ ‌creating‌ ‌you‌ ‌just‌ ‌as‌ ‌you‌ ‌are.‌

‌IF YOU COULD IDENTIFY A CELEBRITY WHO YOU BELIEVE EXEMPLIFIES A CHOSEN COVERGIRL, WHO WOULD THAT BE AND WHY? ‌ ‌Oprah‌ ‌Winfrey‌ ‌has‌ ‌worn‌ ‌so‌ ‌many‌ ‌incredible‌ ‌hats:‌ ‌journalist‌,‌ ‌talk‌ ‌show‌ ‌host,‌ ‌actress, ‌and philanthropist. ‌It’s‌ ‌no‌ ‌surprise‌ ‌she‌ ‌is‌ ‌one‌ ‌to‌ ‌admire.‌ ‌Oprah‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌household‌ ‌name.‌ ‌Having‌ ‌built‌ ‌an‌ ‌empire‌ ‌for‌ ‌herself‌, ‌she still‌ ‌makes‌ an ‌effort‌ ‌to‌ ‌do‌ ‌good‌ ‌for‌ ‌others‌ ‌and‌ ‌always‌ ‌shows ‌the‌ ‌love‌ ‌of‌ ‌God.‌ ‌Her‌ ‌road‌ ‌to‌ ‌success‌ ‌was‌ ‌not‌ ‌easy‌, but she‌ ‌was‌ ‌always‌ consistent‌ ‌and‌ ‌focused‌ ‌on‌ ‌being‌ ‌a‌ ‌blessing.‌
